The question is, how many pellet boiler/furnace owners do we have? Enough to start a separate forum? Do you feel that threads about boilers and furnaces get lost in the Pellet section we already have?

Maybe just add boilers in after furnaces in the descripton?

I'm just thinking out loud here on this. A boiler, or forced air furnace, are both Central Heating systems. Are they not? So could the section currently called OWB and Gassification boilers be renamed to Central Heating Systems-Wood and Pellet fired. ? Or something like that? The site is about burning wood, so I doubt we will get into gas and oil burners. But they may talk about combo units eventually. Just thinking out loud.

Another thing is, Outdoor wood boilers (OWB) are also getting into becoming gasification boilers. They are finally seeing the light, that they are much more efficient and less polluting so they better get with the program before they ban all OWB.

So the current title may not be accurate.

Or maybe just Central Heating Systems-Boilers and Forced air. That would cover just about everything now and future for central heating systems. Wood, pellet, and fossil fuel.

    Well said.

I wouldn't mind them all being pushed together, if it makes other members happier. They are all central heating devices.

So where are we at on this one? Once we have a plan I will get it implemented. And is there a way that we can tie in the coal burning section mentioned in another request?

For now, since it's a pretty low-traffic area, all central heating devices should be lumped into the Boiler forum with users seeking advice specific to their furnace/boiler fuel turning to either the firewood or pellet forums.

I agree, us pellet furnace users stick to the pellet forum, and until we gain more traction, isn't needed at this point.

A Pellet boiler? Well, the regular stick boiler guru's can help, and any burning related questions can be asked in the Pellet forum. We pellet heads are a tight knot group that love our beers, er, um, I mean Pellets. :)

Ok, for now we will leave it as it is.
