2 stories. #1 apartment building in Harvey ND went up in flames today. People got out with just clothes on their backs. It is 45 min NW of me and if I remember right it had 8-10 units. #2 about 25 years ago a house in SD blew up. Found chunks 1mile away. Ignited when owner came home and flipped the light switch and a tiny arc in the switch lit it up. Blew him across the street and blew all his clothing off except the elastic band on his boxers and his socks. Not sure if he survived the burns and injuries.
There was a house fire over in Quebec, not far from here day before yesterday. Mom and three kids made it out but a 2 and 3 year old were upstairs napping. Dad was just pulling in the laneway from work and made a bee line into the burning house to try and rescue them. He made it to the upstairs but by then it was too late. He had to bail out of a 2nd floor window. Terrible situation as this is a small town and everyone is close.
