Just below the siding, you can see the top edge of the 2" blueboard, goes 2' down

I use blue board a lot.
I covered the 24" concrete block , front wall on the heated part of the shop with 2" blue board, construction glued in place.
Then cover the blue board with plywood siding, framed , glued , screwed, painted.
Helped a lot, stopped condensation ,ice from forming on the inside front wall.
Un-insulated concrete walls wick a lot of heat away from the inside.
The other 24" block walls were covered with 2" concrete coated blueboard , then covered with metal flashing, then buried almost to the top.

I just wonder how much it would cost me to box and ship enough locust to fill that stove once just so I could see some pictures.

Thanks Dave. That's the part I was wondering about. I was looking at insulating my foundation from the outside to use the concrete as a heat sink and to prevent energy loss I just didn't think I wanted to be looking at a blue styrofoam foundation all of the time. I guess you must have used a product similar to this http://styro.net/TuffIIFoamAndICFCoating.html to cover up the blue board. I appreciate your quick response. I guess I'll have a new project to work on this spring. Now back to your regularly scheduled thread about Hot Reload (prior to my hijacking the thread).o_O
