Wow! What a hot and humid day. The heat index was 102 when I got out of the wood at 2 today. I had a pretty productive day too. Got some archery practice in right at daylight. Then worked on stacking some splits and started scrounging. Scored some nice dead standing locust and maple. Bonus of the day was pulling my card from the trail camera. Had a pic of a pretty good sized bear at about 8:30 this morning. I was about 75-100 yards from the camera at the time the pic was taken dropping a locust. I never knew he was there. Pretty cool.
It makes sense. Yesterday had to be our worst day of this summer. Thankfully we got some rain last night so not as hot today.
