Homelite Super XL 925 chain..

    I recently picked up a big ol' Homelite 925 with a 24" bar from my cousins barn. The saw is a monster. Does anyone have the specs or a part number for a replacement chain? Is there any Stihl chains that will cross over? I'd like to get a RS or a RS full skip chain for it.

    The chain specs should be on the tail of the bar. As long as you know the pitch, gauge and number of drivers any brand of chain will work.

    Ran a 3/8 pitch,I think.So if it has a .050 kerf in the bar,a 33 series Stihl or 72 series Oregon would work.If it's a .063, a 36 series Stihl or 75 series Oregon.Need driver count to be sure of that,too.
    I'm guessing a 72-81 Oregon or RS 33-81 Stihl,if available.
