If'n it goes missing I'll be checking your back yard! There is a couple decent mill logs but they are BIG.
Got a call from buzz-saw this morning saying he ran into the guy at the convenience store next door to the score and asked about the wood. Turns out the guy lost my number and the wood is mine. Ill be going that way tomorrow and will confirm. Thanks buddy!
Met with the guy this morning. The wood is mine. Just need to get the FHC liability waiver signed and I'm good to go. Great resource that I've used more than once. Liability Wavier 2014-08-18
LOL!!! He did want a cookie or two to burn...not in the fireplace...he's an aspiring pyrographer. Honestly don't know how soon I'll be going there. I had another new score come in and another that I'll get this week. Still have that oak to split at my other score.
Oh hell yeah! One of the very best firewoods, but oh so heavy when recently cut. Great firewood in every way, and that's a big one for sure. I'll ever cut and stack branches down to about 2 inches, like I do for hickory.
I’m somehow just seeing this thread. Haven’t been around much this summer. I can’t wait to see all of that beautiful Mulberry Split & Stacked!! I also appreciate you digging up the link to that waiver. I was not aware of it. Some people are wary of letting people cut on their property.
That waiver is a great thing to have. I've used it a couple times. Its in the resources section of the forum to those not familiar
Gave him the waiver form on Friday. He called last night saying he was waiting to get the okay from his brother. When I was there the mulberry logs were sprouting shoots.
I don’t see how you do it! I don’t have…. Or rather can’t seem to make time to gather a fraction of the wood you do!
Well in his defense he does have to travel a distance to score any wood based on what I've seen in his threads. Plus there's not too many to choose from based on the pics i've seen...mostly grass prairie We're really spoiled by having trees literally in our back yard and living in heavy deciduous areas too. Living in a densely populated state helps me as well. Trees always being taken down or storm damaged.
