    Track bed will be expandafoam cover in... activated charcol? Or maybe cat litter? Whatever I find that looks right.

    Back in my bachelor days, when I had money and all winter laid off, I had a really nice layout upstairs in one of the bedrooms. I had great plans of expansion and laying track through all the rooms. But then I got married, so the expansion plan got put on hold. Then we started having babies, and my train room got turned into a nursery. Still have it all, the first one turned 18 this year so maybe some day I'll get my train room back!

    My daughter is going to help me finish applying the brown base paint tomorrow. Then i can tack the track down and it will be up to the boy to customise it how he wants.
