You can get your point across, the member can read it and make their own decision, keeps the thread how the op intended it to be.
Ok the resources are the code books and the owners manuals. I can cite them when asked to but I cannot supply them for public use. But the second I mention codes here certain people go nuts.
He means that the mfg sets precedence in clearances, then we go to fire code, kinda hard to reference all that. Alot of info. Basics would be good. Example- refer to stove data plate. If none, 3 feet clearance. When using a wall heat shield, clearance can be reduced by 66% down to 12" etc. Single wall 18" to clearance, dbl wall 6" etc
Yes I can link to sites. But unless I were to pay for an unlimited access licence I can't link to the actual code sites. And yes I can link to the manuals but why would I not do that case by case? Linking every manual in existence just is not realistic. So if you want I will make a recource saying if your stove is unlisted refer to the standards for unlisted stoves in nfpa 211. If it is listed follow your manual. Masonry chimneys go by irc chapter 10 and liner manufacturers instructions. Prefab chimneys go by manufacturers instructions. That's pretty much it.
Yes but then it doesn't allow me to select a subject. And if I hit continue it just keeps asking for a subject
I'm still working on some test resources to see what the problem might be with you opening it. Hang tight....
