    Looks like Poplar not the best of BTU's but still pretty good firewood.

    Its adding up pretty good. Not pictured is a few maple branches that went down too. Not much in the way of good hardwoods around here.

    We have a ton of that around here, everyone just calls it poplar. As mentioned above, it's always free, and is a gopher wood. Wait till you see how light it gets after seasoning! Living trees hold a ton of water, similar to willow.

    Brian, that is popple that you cut and yes, it is totally different from tulip popple; those are two totally different trees.

    Well Seasoned get all that popular you can.. you will want it in April on those almost 45 rainy wet spring days.. dries fast through a good steady but not to hot heat.. everyone loves oak in January but you now live in a place where you will want some heat 7 or 8 months a year at least!
