It's great to have our 'Bota back on the woodyard...had 2 fork loads left to process from that trailer load 20240923_085046.jpg
Noticed bark was a bit different on a couple logs...split different too... 20240923_103853.jpg
The stringy felt heavier too... 20240923_105522.jpg
One log was partially hollow, Cresent shaped. When we split it, it had the large termites in it, these aren't the subterranean type. These logs were cut before Aug 23rd. This was split out and went to scrap pile or deer camp tote. 20240923_115305.jpg 20240923_115524.jpg
We have another mountain to stack... 20240923_125004.jpg

Smart man. Drinking and driving not a good idea!

Just kidding of course, but I can relate. Bugs me when I come home with a partial load of wood when there's still room.

Don't think we will have a problem filling up the hickory side of this shed, thanks to Hurricane Helene...I posted a few pics in a different thread...
These are the loads we hauled home, we carried a load of smaller wood to a retired coworker friend. 1000013745.jpg

This load has 4 white oak logs on top...they will go in the other side of the shed 20240930_185257.jpg

Wow TJV! That truck is getting a workout. Must be fun. Sampson should be fully booked for quite a while.

Yes sir. Plenty of wood available now. Nice to be able to be choosy, for a change.
Thankful for the blessing of a bigger truck and splitter

Bucked the long logs on last load of post #50 above...
Had some nice size rounds on this load 1000016153.jpg
I like this size rounds, run it thru the 4 way twice, get 16 splits from each
    20250107_094715.jpg 20250107_094704.jpg
Moved the pile to the splitter with the grapple and got maybe half split...what's left to process 1000016165.jpg
Made a nice pile with the conveyor 1000016167.jpg
Got it stacked Friday morning...a row about 7' tall... 1000016183.jpg
