I've worked construction all my adult life. I'd assume that contributed to my hernia. My physical appearance is proportionate to my height and weight, so I don't think that was a factor. My father had the same thing at age 35 so hereditary factors may be involved. Good question!
My father has been told he has a week abdominal wall, genetic.... (under the knife 13 times so far, though several of them were to due to older mesh that was not as good as now).
Yup I think I is a addict. Once I was aware in the room sent out 2 texts to friend and family then my wife asked who I was typing to. I said why the FHC of course. She closed her eyes and shook her head. When she looked back up I just smirked. She just don't get it but maybe one day she will get it. I then went back to sleep for a while. Layin in bed sore now but trying to not take happy pills too much.
Take the happy pills, it's only for a couple of days. Things mellow out after that. I tried not to take them either but my wife caught me. She heard me wincing when I moved around.
Hey WW replying to a question on another thread. Day 2 I'm sore but mama bear sais she is noticing I am moving better. Dont like how dopey the painkillers make me.
Glad to hear ! Greenstick , and since My IS heats my home just went through the same recently, I hope you are off the dopey pills in a couple days too I remember a week or two though of not lifting over 5lbs?
I didn't like how loopy I felt on the drugs either, so after the 2nd day I quit 'em. If the side effects weren't so discomforting, I would have stayed on 'em. I'm just about 6' and when I had it done, about 225lbs. Retired, but always active lifestyle. I noticed a "pop" when I coughed one day. As ww said, they put in an IV, then give you a shot and before you know it, you're coming out of a sleep. I wouldn't call it manscaped so much as just shaving what they needed.
So Mama Bear is looking at your "backside" whist walking??!!! Sizing you up!!! She may request a permanent painkiller scrip...........HuummmiinnaHuumminnaaaaHumminnaaaaaaaa!!!!!!
I did the typical stubborn guy thing. Somewhere around 20 years ago was moving something and felt a pop. Wasn't too noticeable and told by dr.s if it don't hurt don't worry. Well over the years it slowly got larger then this spring I was stoopid and played human forklift and really aggrevated things. The last 6 months it really impacted my activities and had to get thru fall to get buttoned up for winter. Just not being as able as I was to do stuff not as active hobblin around I bet I put on 25#. Can't wait to get the lbs off.
I had projects at work going on so I really couldn't stop despite the hernia discomfort. I continued to work using a hernia belt and waited until things settled down and then did the surgery. I also gained about 7 pounds while being laid up, I'm almost back to where I was so I'm happy for that.
