    As a kid my dad rented me out to pound T posts for snow fencing along the roadside. This thing brings back horrible memories.

    Yep I split a lot of Elm and Cottonwood. No thanks I will stick with the hydraulics. Even a less expensive electric hydraulic splitter which would cost less, and would be easier to use.

    I would not spend my money on it...but, it wouldn't surprise me if they make a small fortune selling it to ignorant cit-i-dots. If I can't do it with a maul I will go to my hydraulic spliter...

    Exactly. Our Didier hydraulic splitter was bought for $250. Oh yeah, $99 chonda predator was put on it last year ( after around 40 years of the original Briggs lol).

    Cool concept, probably good for those who are scared of barking a shin with a maul, but if they're fetching $400... even if I was scared of a maul, I'd spend a few bucks on shin guards and be up $350.

    Sometimes I think the wheel is just fine the way it is.
