Hang in there guys & gals it was 68 here today cut up some stuff the power line crew made a bomb scare out of...Cypress, Cedar, Sweetgum, Cherry, and Maple. Should make a good shoulder season pile for next year. Sat on the porch in my t-shirt and shorts smoking ribs this afternoon(we need a rub it in smiley)
Exactly It was warm on Saturday for us. Like 36. Today started out warm, like 31. Its been dropping all day and is 21 out now. I'd be in shorts at 68 degrees.
MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY We have sprung a leak. This is not a drill. I dont know about you guys but I'm close to the breaking point. The drifts by the driveway are pushing 6ft plus and the blower is having a hard time getting the snow up there. The ice dams on the roof are out of control and Ive got water coming in the attic. My wife saw some carpenter ants in the house and now Im afraid there is a nest in he walls from long term water that just got woken up. And the 3ft of snow on the garage roof has me concerned... the framing is a bit light. Ive been out blowing, shoveling and roof raking for 8+ hours in 2 days but I just dont have anywhere else to put it. This has gotta stop. Oh and did I mention the kitchen range decides to up and die in the middle of this? Now they say we may get 6-10 Thu and another blockbuster storm Saturday. People are gonna crack.
And here all I want is ONE BIG STORM for us. You're getting one big storm AFTER ANOTHER AND ANOTHER AND ANOTHER. Send some of that chit down here!!
That sucks! Commute was insane today then rushed home to blow snow until I could not see! My shoulders hurt..
I just heard the MBTA has shut down all trolley, subway and commuter rail service in and out of Boston tonight and all day tomorrow. That will be a newsmaker and nightmare.
I'm hearing it could be a blizzard for the New England states, we'll see what model is correct. The weather gods gave us a break from the snow but we did get freezing drizzle. Stay Safe Zap
Normally they shut down Gillette if the T goes down.. Hope they shut down I could use the time to finish cleaning up before the next storm comes along!
Sorry to hear everything is ganging up on ya Jeremy. Not fun. At all. The roof at our farm had to be raked after every storm or ice would start along the eves in hours. I know how frustrating that can be. I hope you can get the snow off the garage soon too. Good luck & hang in there.
