Many people around here head north to Maine, NH or VT.. Not that far and plenty of groomed trails up there..Guy in my shop is up there sledding all the time..
I've got good friends that go to Tug Hill area in NY quite often, sometimes every other weekend. I can't afford that! Wish I could though.
I can usually give extra stuff to neighbors like, jellies, jam, rhubarb, bark mulch and compost. For some reason they don't want the extra snow laying around here.
Everything but the F-14 survived.. Had other crashes that didn't fare so well though.. No I didn't have a video camera.. Back then I used 35mm film cameras.. Probably video by ships camera if I had to guess..
Well, round one is done. got the place cleared out and took the kids out for burgers for lunch. The next two days are going to seriously try my patience I fear. My yard once again looks like Verdun in winter (reminds me of W2010/11) , as Ive had to cut trenches to get around and rake snow off the roof... rrrr... Im ready for summer.
I know the feeling.. Snowblowed today to get ready for more snow.. Tomorrow looks like it will be a commuting nightmare again.. Not looking forward to it..
Most areas I put the snow are full so that leaves the driveway to the front of the house I still have some plowing to do so I can get at our "gooder" wood so we'll be bringing in the wood by the snowmobile with the cargo sled this afternoon. We had some freezing drizzle and very little snow today.
No snow here today.. yet.. Temp went up to 37 and now down to 35.. Suspect things will be changing soon.. Snowblower did OK until end of driveway which was heavy slush.. Clogged chute a few times but hard to avoid with slush.. Noticed at Lowes website they now have a 3 stage snowblower this is supposed to be good with ice and slush.. Sounds interesting! http://www.lowes.com/pd_594168-270-31AH54Q6711_0__?productId=50223271
"we'll be bringing in the wood by the snowmobile with the cargo sled this afternoon." ... now yer talkin'...
I hear you about the snow and new sleds scotty. The site have gotten even more expensive, better mostly, but with how our winters have been, its hard to justify the costs for new machines. So it keeps dumping in the northeast, but barely enough for trails up in the north woods of Wisconsin where the best trail system in the world is. I don't get it. Climate change sure messes with what we knew as normal.
Amen brother! About the only positive thing I can say about this right now is I had a couple hours of great fun sledding with the kids and the mrs. in the back yard this afternoon the kids thought it was hilarious to watch Dad take a running belly flop on the snow tube. Followed by two more hours of roof raking. The ice dams are really starting to worry me and my shoulder is about to fall off.
