i have posted a bit about my hired hand- young lady who helps around the far. She has decided to try squirrel hunting, after shooting a few times. She told her mother recently that if she does marry one day, he will have to be a country boy. I told her mother, that if this pretty young lady has a reputation for hunting, shooting, wood splitting and so on, she will have plenty of suitors presenting resumes. Among the things men look for in a spouse is a recreation partner, whether it be hunting, ball games, cycling. Her sister describes herself as an indoor person, but she is ready to go hunting too. Today , the mother and I met with my go-to FFL holder is to pick up the twenty gauge pumps. The girls aren’t aware it them. I certainly expect to be invited to the weddings.
Good for you Sourwood.. you can be sure that the boyfriends will have to be good men. I always tell a story about my little cousin, Tammy, she's been hunting and fishing with her dad since a year old. Her first boyfriend broke up with her because they went fishing and she caught her limit. And she was throwing back the smaller fish but they were bigger than the ones HE was keeping
There is one good young lady and I hope she finds a good one to meld in with her likes and dislikes. We wish her well.
Funny, year my mom had cancer, stage 4, knew she was dying, wanted a big Thanksgiving, I'm the smallest of my male cousins at 6 1 to 22o and Tammy was late cuz she brought in a 8-pointer. Bunch of big guys, helping 5 foot 5, 125 lb cousin, bring her deer to weigh station.
