Is this what your talking about. I just traded my old 562XP for a new 562XPG, once you have heated handles, you'll never buy another without them.
It was $140 to trade a used one for a new one with heat. One phone call and it's yours. Besides, it's your turn to buy lunch.
spent too much time going back and forth with guy on CL. just put down on a new husq 18" for $35 shipped. gotta get on with life and make some chips.
I had a 20" that I would have dealt better than that. Stihl some blue letters visible. $25 shipped. Do you have any Stihl bars? With no sig line I can't tell ? They make an adapter that let's you run Stihl bars on a Husq large mount saw. The adapters are cheap and you only need to stock one type of bar. Stihl ES
HOLY CHIPS SAWMAN! Didnt expect to be able to make this many cuts in five minutes. I did three at full bar depth and then started noodlin!
With an 18", you'd be better off with a 24". That would better compliment the saws ability with 2 bars.
That means either settling for a standard bar or going to the aftermarket (Sugihara, Oregon, Tsumara(sp?), etc,) if he wants a lightweight 24". Neither Stihl nor Husqvarna make such a critter. I would be all about a lightweight 24" on a 562 as a "big bar" option. But that's just my personal preference.
