Turn it over, the model number will be stamped on the block. Might be a 1- series as well.

Thanks guys. Not my saw but I know the guy looking to sell it and he's looking for some more info on it. I've asked him to check for the model number on the bottom. I'm told it starts and runs. Any idea on if it has a value or is it just a wall hanger?

Loud, heavy, slow and plenty of finger tingling numbness, sound like a work tool to you?

It would be fun to make a few cuts once in a while, or to use at a GTG.

Could be any one of a number of models. We won't know for sure until we see the block numbers. From what I can see so far its most likely a 200, 250, 1-50, or 1-51.

    Its not a 1-50,that has a different air filter cover,same full wrap handlebar though.Might be a 1-52 or 1-53 that's a couple years newer.

You're right. The 1-51 was the first saw in that series with the long AF cover. The 1-50 had the short cover. In either case, they're 'supposed' to be black rather than yeller. Could be a repaint (or a FrankenMac) though.

The 1-51 or 1-52 (or a 200 or 250) is more likely to have the 'side switch' flywheel cover like we see on this saw rather than the 'top switch' cover as seen on a 1-53, 300, Super 250, or other later saw in the series.
