Went earlier & picked up this Red Oak from a neighbor. Three dump loads. About 2.5 cord. Hauled it back & then started staging more logs for processing. 20210306_100741.jpg 20210306_100755.jpg 20210306_153155.jpg 20210306_153140.jpg

    Looks great!

I took a short spin through the woods and expect by next weekend the snow will be gone. Hopefully the mud won't be bad. If need be we can go in through the other property where we cut that big oak last year. Looks good.

I'm not sure, they had a tree service remove it with a boom truck I guess. Guy just called me & asked if I wanted the wood. Two spars, pretty straight, & 34" at the stump. Pretty decent stuff.

That’s a lot of straight grain red oak. I love the way it pops apart in the splitter.

Yea, I'm looking forward to splitting that stuff. Tree was dead too so it might be ready a little quicker.

You bet! Pushed the brush outta the way & loaded with forks. Only had to trim a few pieces & bucked the big trunk. One cut with the 660. Fast & dirty on this one.

That 2nd log up from the butt looks like it would make lumber.

Yep, especially when you didn't really wanna wrestle em to split. We'll make nice thin cookies that are light lol.
