Thoughts and prayers from Wisconsin. Sounds like time to declare a emergency. Anything we can do do to help you out ? I got a appliance dolly, could send it to you and the Mrs could wheel you out.

Nope, did it twice with an 8mm K98 Mauser during my military matches. Now, to explain it if you must know, the joists in my shop were at 7'-11-1/4" from the floor, Top of work Bench is at 36" off the floor, 4' tube lights had a 6" chain hanging from hooks on the ceiling joists, fixture itself was maybe another 4" with bulbs inside, Cradle for rifles is about 3" off top of bench, so now we have about 4' roughly between bence top and bottom of light fixture. NOW, add a few Miller Lites, and a Bull$H!TTing session with a buddy, pull the rifle straight up from the locked in cradle, barrel in the Upward position and having lights directly above the work bench and you sometimes hit the bulbs, and NO, there were no mesh guards to cover the bulbs!

I hope this was an adequite explaination of how light bulbs got smashed in my little shop. Other than just being careless and maybe a couple of adult beverages involved, this is the best I can present.

Glad I swallowed my coffee before reading this! Started my day off with a good laugh.
I've busted those lights as well, usually moving something on the workbench for a project. AND they dont seem to like to light up in stupid cold temps. Have regular fixtures ready to go in once the building is stabilized and usable.
    Best,

I've evidently forgotten how to PM.
At the feet of Almighty today, asking for His wisdom to be revealed to you for moving forward, physically, financially, etc. That He would speak, you would hear. That you would walk in His favor and righteousness in all things, that doors you never thought would open, would open. And, that His healing hand would guide those with you, at home and elsewhere. Also declared the proper resources, whatever those are, into your hands.

I was getting so tired of breaking them, It just wasn't guns I was hitting them with, thats why I took them down and put up the old screw bulb sockets. Over the years, I'll bet I went through at least 8 to 10 bulbs/tubes and when the ballast went, I said Freak it! I'm done with this crap! :headbang:

Hey WeldrDave I'm pretty sure my dad still has a skid of these led retrofits. They're a little over 4000 lumens and 34"long. They don't have the housings so you just have to get creative with mounting options. If you have any plans to come up this way i could grab a few for ya.
