Still in the 70’s haven’t even cleaned the chimney yet. I’m a slacker.

A fire every day now all day. Using catlapa and pine only so far and the wife misses the hardwood.
She thinks it is a ploy to convince her to get a wood stove; I admit to nothing.

It's looking like I'll be doing a small one at night and one in the morning from here on out until I need it all day. Colder temps are setting in.

Mostly oak and hickory. Did a chunk of Bradford pear last night and had to open windows.

Just a small one to knock down the chill. Looks like next week I'll need one everyday.

Our guest for the season tonight. Not really that cold. Got down to 68 degrees in the house and my wife thinks we are in Antartica.! Left over Bear Mountain pellets from last burning season. Guess I'll need to order some more now...

Just like dating a new girlfriend, no? You have to learn all her nuances and then all will be fine.

I'm sure it'll be a short learning curve! :handshake:

The Ideal Steel last night with a load of Almond in it.

Weather report said it was supposed to get down to 18-22 for a low so I loaded the stove up.

Well woke up this morning and it was 41 outside and almost 80 in the house.....:picard:
