Thanks guys. I actually fired my furnace up at the beginning of this week for the first time this year. It's a little early for me but the wife and kids were cold. Gotta keep them happy.

meh....I don't believe the red ESP is any more reliable than the black one...although it is newer. Most of the damage we see is physical damage, usually done when someone is cleaning the unit and doesn't realize hitting the probe can damage it. Depending on your circuit board, you most likely can change to a red probe as long as you make sure to turn dipswitch #5 into the ON position.

Sounds good. I bought a new black probe an installed it but I still have the issue where it won't shut down. Another issue I have that might play a part is the fact that I have about 15' of horizontal run. It is at the maximum length that the manual says I can have. Do you think that might be a factor?

Do you have vertical lengths and elbows with the 15' horizontal?
It would cause a lazy flame instead of not shutting down, I could be wrong. Another problem it could be is the rotating switches are acting up(dead/dirty spots).

I have a 3' vertical piece that runs into a tee. One side of the tee goes to the 15' horizontal run and the other end has about 12" that has a removable clean out cap on it.

Is there a way to check the switches you mentioned?

Not sure how but by adjusting and nothing happens or changes can be a tell-tale sign. The older the CB is, the more likely it can happen. If you can get your hands on the Harman DTM tool and see what the furnace is doing can help you troubleshoot it.

I would suggest just replacing the board....yea, you can have a tech come out and pay him to diagnose it.....if you do replace the board...and this in capitals....READ AND FOLLOW THE INCLUDED INSTRUCTIONS!

Just a quick update on my pf100
Last spring I tore it completely down deep cleaned everything, replace all gasket/ seals.
But I think my issues where coming from the door it's self . The rivets that hold the inter panel to the door itscself where loose presumably from age , rust what ever so I spot welded them (sealed) and all my issues so far have vanished
