Harman P68 Slow Startup

    is your bearing shot? does it turn easily? (I mean the bearing on the block attached to the auger shaft, NOT the pillow block bearings of the pusher arm)

    LW thank you very much for doing this. It's more confirmation my P68 slide plate is indeed too long. On a quick vaca weekend in Perkins Cove, so I will contact the dealer next week about getting a new one. The stove parts website is charging $40 for this, can you tell me the ballpark dealer price? I will try to follow up with Harman afterwards...:)

    The bearing appears to be fine. Surprising, considering the stress it has endured the past 7 seasons. Despite that, it remains tight and the wheel spins very freely. Regardless, I'm going to apply some grease to it like JT suggested.

    every dealer will sell them for differing amounts......should be around $25-$30 plus tax
