Do they have the air notches in the back?
The one on the left has the air notches for the Fluted Burn Pot!

The burnpot that came with my P61a-2 (new in 2014) looks like the new burnpot in your second set of pictures. Same burnpot that came with the auto ignite kit that I used to update my older P61.

My P61a has the flat one and the P43 has the curved one. Maybe it depends on year?

    Thanks for checking.
As far as I know that is correct, but the new Fluted Burn Pot is made for the newer Accentra FS & Insert, P43 and Advance.
Although you may want this upgrade!
Last night the temp was down into the 20’s.
I just ran my P61a on Room Temp in the basement with the Fluted Burn Pot with the air notches in the flame guide and WooHaHo we had to keep turning the temp dial down so we would not Roast like a coffee bean!!!! At 3:30 am had to turn it down again because the bedroom was getting too hot!!! More heat with less pellets!

all good theory and conjecture here! Harman actually has 3 flame guides:
    1. 3-00-03000
    2. 3-00-08534
    3. 3-00-06644 (pretty much just the Advance)

I dunno.....I am on the fence for replacing a burn pot and gaskets and flame guide, given the cost of doing so, verses the purported gain in heat value by changing such. I think one might be better served by keeping the heat exchanger (and stove!) clean.

Yup maybe they switched during a model “refresh” year. Perhaps at the same time they switched over to the UL feeder for a given model? My P68 is a 2008 and P43 is a 2014 and they both have the arched guides with notches. How old are your stoves?

    Yes I agree with that.
In my case, the pot in the stove was an old used pot which I thought was good until the flame guide kept sliding! Very Frustrating!!
Since I replaced the burn pot with a brand new burn pot, No More Floppy Plane guide!! So that did actually fix the problem!!!

The P43 shows a date of Sept. 2012 and my P61a is Oct. 2013. Now when they were actually made is anybody's guess - at least my limited understanding is that date is when they ship to a dealer (I could be misremembering though).

My 2 P61a stoves are about 15 years young and my Advance is about 14 years young
My Quadrafire Contour is 18 years young and can still do the pie warming in the warmer compartment and I will never part with it!! I use it to warm my shed. They all work like brand new!!

The "fluted"? burn pot is for Accentra inserts, but not the FS.The accentra 52i also has an updated pot,but that has been out for a while.

According to this, the updated Fluted Burn Pot is for all of these stoves.

It works great on my P61a too!!

Yes,I was just pointing it out,as it is not for the FS,as your other post said.Anyway, there is an up dated pot for the FS.Looks the same as the old pot, except, just ahead of where the flame guide rests, there are 2 raised bumps.HHHMMMM??

Um,no,looks like bumps to keep the flame guide in position, although the instructions say a new flame guide purchase is necessary.I did not research it,and look at the recommended flame guide.

    Hello
It has been a week and the same flame guide on the old Burn pot has not moved 1 mm on the new burn pot. Therefore, it was not a dirty stove or the flame guide it was the older burn pot!!!!
So the case of the floppy flame guide is closed!
