Mine does that at times too (lights one side before the other side starts burning). It all evens out once it starts going though.

Mine does that as well but within a few minutes, the flame spreads out across all the pellets.

Mine always did it before too but I had to change the flow of pellets into the pot on the ignition cycle. I was getting way to much into the pot. It was filling up to the second row of holes from the edge before it would even start to spark. So I reduced the feed time -45 seconds and put me feed rate to about 3.5 and it seems good now. But like I said I’m using stove chow and FSU. I’m gonna get some better pellets next weekend

I don't worry about how much is in the pot before the fire starts (as long as it's not overflowing). And, as far as pellet quality - FSU's aren't bad, and a heck of a lot better than the Maine's Choice that I am currently using in the P61a.

My believe is that you watch the stove way too much, but then you should have seen me watching the wood stove at my previous place - I almost couldn't leave it alone even when it was going good. And at a bonfire, well, I've never had to call the fire department and let's just leave it at that. ;)

Well guys I took and scraped the pot quick today while the fire was out, took and cleaned the holes and let it set. Then later I noticed it was getting a little cold in here so I turned it up. Wouldn’t light. It was pushing pellets over the edge. Some had black marks on them like it wanted to light but.... I had to start it. I don’t get it. It ran perfect for like 2-3 weeks when I put the new burn pot and gaskets on and cleaned it. Now back to doing this again? everytime after I clean the pot it won’t start

Sorry, not gonna reread 6 pages.1 poor airflow 2 weak igintor 3 control board acting intermittent, causing the poor airflow(or weak combustion motor,at startup) or not running ignitor long enough.Spray out the pots on board, while working them back and forth.Sorry for not reading everything, and for not remembering.

I had both a car and a truck like that. Would practically strand me, I would get it to the mechanic and it would run perfect:picard:

Spray contact cleaner into the rotary pots (potentiometers) on the board while twisting them back & forth....should clean the contacts inside them making them work better.

Quick question: Are you letting the stove go into its second phase of the lighting cycle? How this works, is, the unit feeds pellets, starts the igniter. The pellets enter the burnpot, and after a bit, stove stops feeding and allows the igniter to heat the pellets. Then, if it doesn't light (in other words, the ESP hasn't recorded a temp high enough for the stove to understand its lit), it will feed MORE pellets, and keep the igniter on....sometimes yea, that puts a lot of pellets in the pot to burn, you get a big fire, and there could be a few unburnt pellets fall from the front of the burnpot. The unit will try and light itself for around 35 minutes or so, after which youll get the flashing status light telling you that the stove failed to ignite in its proscribed ignition cycle.
Heres an idea: the next time, after you clean, before you light, take 2 or 3 handfuls of unburnt pellets, and drop them in the burnpot and see if it lights any quicker. I'm betting it will.

Did you reclean under the burn pot (behind the wingnuts)? I know I have to do that every couple of weeks with my current pellets, even if I don't need to empty the ash pan yet. Other pellets I can go until the next full clean, but it is somethig to think about.

I do mine every 2 weeks no matter what I'm burning, every week during 2 bagger cold spells.
