well, if youve got a p43, then on/off/off is correct for that unit, with a E revision board. As for the newer F revisions, you would need to check the appropriate settings for it.

Put it back to stock setting and this was after about 7 min. Not even a flicker or smoke signal. Opened the door and took pellets out and they were definitely hot but just not igniting

I mean pellets are getting hot enough to where when I take them out they hurt my hand because they are hot

I also just noticed that when I put it in stove temp the distribution blower wasn’t coming on. I had it in manual ignition. As soon as I flipped it up to automatic the blower came on.

Have you had this stove since it was brand new, or did you buy it used? Would like to establish when the stove started doing this difficult startup behavior. Also is the stove OAKed, or pulling air from inside the house? What is the flue vent configuration?

Had it new since 2012, just started doing it like 2 months ago. It’s pulling air from the inside of the house and the set up is a adjustable 90 out of the back of the stove, a 6-7’ piece of double walled 3” pipe into another adjustable 90 into a 3 inch to 7-8” flute adapter then into a 8x8 block chimney and up about 6-7’ to the top of chimney.

Yeah it flaps pretty good and I actually modified a tip for the vacuum with a hose that I can lift the flap and slide the hose in to clean the whole fresh air tube that goes to the front of the stove (the one that keeps the glass clean)

perhaps another topic that has been addressed, but what pellets are you burning and is it the same as in the past, along with where you are buying them, storing them, etc

Dirty or bad igniter, bridged or otherwise blocked feed system. If it was my bucket of parts I'd look for ash build up around the POF thermodisc. Then I might chase possible vacuum issues but I'd expect a solid flashing #2 first. Not a failure to light within start up window which that 5 blink is all about.

The OP has ordered quite alot of parts to fix this....maybe we all just need to wait and give him a chance to install them. I will say, once again, a draft reading is of paramount importance in troubleshooting. Its the first thing I check when folks complain about overfeeding, lazy flame, no ignition. It wont FIND the problem for you, but the draft will tell you quite alot of things.....where the blockage is, marginal motors, overall cleanliness, etc. Cant stress enough how important it is. To not have it is akin to going to the doctor, telling the doc that you dont feel well, and not allowing any tests.

no thermodisc here, the Harman's use ESP's. Its not uncommon though for folks to completely rip apart their units looking for issues, only to find something crazy like a clogged spark arrestor screen.....which, by the way, a draft reading would tell you

It is also not uncommon for people to forget about that esp and not wipe it off or to destroy it trying to get ash out of the area it is in.

for sure, but that actually takes a bit more work to rectify, which not everyone can do. But calling a technician out to literally whisk clean the spark arrestor is VERY easy to do, and given the cold we had, pretty common. It would cause the stove to intermittently feed or not feed at all.
