    I think what happened was from digging in the ignitor comp I eventually might have pulled the wires over time closer to the burnpot holes.
    could be some tiny hot ember or embers dropped thru and burned the wire shield causing the bare wire spot... just a theory. stove is 4yrs.

    yea, maybe so. When I said use the loop meter, I meant check the wires AT THE REAR ....you know, the baby blue or banana yellow wire. Oh, and to properly do it, you just test one of the wires........using both will, of course, mess you up!

    I don't notice a measurable difference in any pellet I have burned in Harman. Just put it on room temp, Keep her fed and empty the ashes. Good to go.
