Harbor Freight Trailer Wheel Bearing Tick Tick when wheel turns and rubbing noise?

don2222 what was the outcome of all this?

 

Looks like water in the grease and it needs new back bearing seal but just threw more grease in for now until I have either a lot of time to clean it all out or just buy a new bearing kit and throw it in.

 

What was the source of the scraping noise?

Sounds like one or both bearings are toast!

pull it back apart, clean the grease off and inspect the rollers and both race surfaces.

 

Agreed it's probably at least one bad bearing.
I've heard bearings that were installed too tightly sound like that also. Make sure you have the proper amount of end play.
