.............and as the sun sets over FHC land, the gentle wisp of smoke from the wood stoves is quickly being replaced by the swift air currents of flying turkey's................................
Hello and Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I had an early supper at Sister #1. When I arrived the house was already a bit full and I found everyone sitting around perusing Black Friday adverts. I looked at the circulars but I don't really plan on doing a Black Friday thing. I will go to Lowe's and get some poinsettias and some batteries; the nice tools and such are not in the budget. Then I will go to Rural King and use the 10% discount to get a new battery for the Old Girl; I have a rebate card that I need to use before it expires; it was from buying a new set of tyres for my transport. The Old Girl is still very sick but the current battery is at least seven years or eight years old (six volts on the Old Girl) so I will get the new battery now with the rebate card. I am more stuffed than the turkey; I really blew my diet out of the water today. However, it was nice enjoying good food with family today. And I kept my promise to send warm wishes out to all those that were alone today. Big Hugs to them and to everyone.
I just had that feeling, of wanting a turkey sandwich. I will. Just because. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Phew, finally functioning again after eating way too much!! Delicious! Woops I started eating before I remembered to take a pic. Awesome, looks like we have 2 windows for both drop off and pick up so kiddo can party down with Grandma!! Before and after our second snow
Leftovers! !!! My favorite is thin sliced turkey, cold bread dressing, and cranberry sauce, all between any kind of bread. The bread is just to hold it all togethet. Mmmmm
I wasn't even hungry for breakfast. The house still smells like bacon covered turkey. Best tasting turkeys ever, although the bacon stopped the skin from getting crispy.
