The blankets just fell on Badger while he was sitting on the couch. He didn't care, and he ended up sleeping like that. He had a long fun day on the lake.
Not really. Here's been swimming since we got him. He's just getting more used to it. He's not super graceful at swimming yet, but he'll get there.
Shout-out to all you REAL DADS out there today, the ones who genuinely love and care for their kids and put their kids' lives above their own. Those that lead by true example, who teach them what's right and what's wrong. Those who teach them what it really is to be a MAN and how to treat a WOMAN. Those who teach them honesty, loyalty, integrity, compassion, and faith. Those who teach them how to work hard, even when there is little or nothing to gain from it, and to get up the next day and work even harder. You know who you are! I haven't had a "day off" in so long that when the opportunity comes up I can't deal with the stress of finding something fun to do. I watered the garden at 5am, mowed, and painted the closets in a rental house and put in new shelving. My parents are camping so we went to my inlaws for dinner and it was nice. But I can't sit around and "relax". Other than playing with my kids and going to the horse races a few times a year, I don't really do anything fun if my dad isn't around to help work on one of his cars. So I guess after reading that I realize just how much I still depend on him.
Be thankful he’s still around (I’m sure you are, man!). Father’s Day has been stoopid hard for me since 2020… Maybe it eases up over time…
I'm sorry man. You can always talk to us about it if you need someone to lend an ear. I absolutely am, he's my 25 year older twin.
