I used the new handwarmers today. I know it wasnt really that cold (32*) but my hands were always handling wet wood and there was a constant breeze with snow falling. My fingertips had the worst time keeping up with the rest of me so I opened two packages and placed them into my palms with my gloves on. It did the trick, even with wet gloves. And the best part I noticed was the handwarmers got even hotter as a few hours passed. I got 5 hours out of them, got me to the end of the work day, I'm glad I had them.

And here is the next tool you need to buy. No more wet hands from handling wood. They are almost worth their weight in gold and I wonder how I ever got along without them. Now I have of them.

This is one that I really love. For the hands, when we go to cut wood in the cold air, my hands get cold. Sometimes the gloves even get a bit wet. So before heading out, I'll slip one in each glove then wrap them in a couple old towels. Then when my hands get cold, I change gloves. That is like Heaven slipping on a nice warm pair of gloves!

For the boots, it seems whenever we get back to the house the insides of my boots are wet or damp. So I slip one into each boot and they dry out really fast.

When not being used, they quietly sit on top of the woodstove until they are needed. Many times they are even used as trivets.
