I just got a BG 86 and have used it about a half dozen times. Leaps and bounds better than the cheap Weed Eater brand I had. And just as good as the Kawasaki Backpack blower I had.

Light weight and plenty of power.

That said, my father bought a Husq 125 and it seems to be just as good. But with a price tag that is just under $100 less.

That's a good looking unit. What's the price on one of those?

I have had a couple Husky 125B blowers, good units for the money. Good bang for the buck and they are great for blowing grass off of the driveway and sweeping the garage. I found a good deal on a BG86 a couple years ago and couldnt be happier with it. It moves a LOT more air than the Huskys, but I know they are more money too. I use mine quite a bit for cleaning up around carvings when I am done, leaves out of the gutters, and just small jobs around the house.

If it is only for occasional use and only around the house, why not a corded unit. I've got a B &D that is older than I can remember. It looks and performs like new. I also bought a gas unit, the dreaded "homelite" . It was a reconditioned unit that I got at a tool sale for $50. Starts every year. Only think I don't like about it is it sucks in my clothing and tears them up if I hold it by my side. It too starts right up year after year and does all I want it to do.

Bought my Stihl BG72 blower in 1990 and it's still going strong.
Blowing off the tractors after use and dusting off the the truck during the winter .
My blower see's a lot of use.
I'd be lost with out one.

It's at the top of the list so far. I'm a bit partial to redmax stuff anyway

I have an old beat up red max that was given to me . All it needed was a carb. rebuild . I've acquired and repaired several Stihls that were in a lot nicer shape, but always sold them and kept the red max . It starts easy and really blows .
