    I noted somewhere, might have been on the package or maybe Husky website... they claimed their files have superior design such that they cut better. Could be typical marketing spin but it seemed honest, lol. SOMEbody probably has a superior file, I just don't know who it is.

    I will attest to the quality of the Save Edge files. It's all I have been using for 5-6 years now, and I hand-file everything. You can tell a sharp file from a dull one, it's easy to see the little metal filings and the sound the file makes is different. Very hard to describe. I will toss a file in the scrap bin when it just seems to be gliding rather than cutting, and all I get is fine metal dust rather than shavings. Experience will help you tell when it's time for a new one. I'll go through two or three files per year so it's not a lot and also not a big expense either.
