Fly over here when you're done at your place. I've got a couple to cut, that I'm worried will hang up. I'll throw in a case of beer to help out with fuel costs. :)

Just think of the possibilities; for example, some of those trees that Scotty has been climbing to take down limb by limb. With this, cut at bottom and lift the tree! Or I can imagine with some of the wood we're cutting now. It is tough getting in and out with all the blow-downs and prickly ash. Ah, attach a cable and lift them right out. Would save a lot of work. But, I'm sure they put them to better use. Nice pictures.

I've watched them heli-log out in Montana 2 times. To say they "don't phuck around" is putting it mildly!
2 birds flying, the big one hauling the logs, with the little one fetching the choker's from the landing back to the harvest area, with no time wasted, the ground crew did not walk, they ran.

    Great picture.
    1 log load, a big one !

    High dollar logging $$$$.
Quick turns & max loads with skilled pilots are the only way to make it profitable .
Good pay with high risk .
