Sooo, yesterday I was at my local mom and pops Stihl dealer for a B.S. session when I spied with my little eye an 026 non pro sitting on the bottom shelf looking so homeless and for-lone I just had to ask about it. Actually, to make a short story even longer, I was amazed to see a used saw on the shelf since they dont often take trade ins at this place. But it turns out that it was bought new from a valued customer and he wanted a smaller lighter saw. The shop went through the saw and replaced seals and anything eles that needed it. Well, I guess I had money to burn yesterday and didnt even get out the drive way before turning around and plunking down $200 for the saw. This is a good runner and really screams thru some wood so far as I can tell. Cant wait till the woods melt off some to get at a standing tree with it.
You did the right thing sir! Sitting there with all those prissy, shiny new saws, probably getting picked on. That saw was born to work, now make her scream! Seriously, congrats on a great deal.
They get 200$ for a well used beat up runner around here and I wouldn't sell one of mine for 200$ . Call any dealer and ask what the service bill would be on getting 2 seals installed on any saw . Great score !!!
I don’t think you had a moment of weakness...I think it was an “A-Ha!” moment of crystal clarity! Great score!
Very nice saw Butcher I was just thinking on Friday, “Where the heck has Butcher been?” Shopping, I guess!
Yep $200 for a well used one found here. Yours looks minty. I take that deal All day and I have no need for another one!
