Yes, one time purchase and monitored through an app.
    You must have a wifi.
It also tells you when your wifi/internet connection is down.
    $199.99
free monitoring for life with the purchase

Yes, a very sympathetic locksmith. Gotta love it when your locksmith is wearing an H&K ballcap. Gives you a bit of confidence that they're on the same page.

Stowy Safes in Johnstown told me to go with the dial combination. He says most of the service calls he get is to replace parts on electronic key pads.
Too many things to go wrong with the electronics; touch pads, mother boards, servo motors, batteries

Most electronic failure come with due notice. Most important thing to try and do is avoid static shock. No carpeted areas to walk across as you approach the safe, or have a sign to remind you to ground yourself prior to touching the keypad. Other common problems within the lock body usually give notice by inconsistent operation well ahead of catastrophic failure. Keypads afford quick access to defense weapons too. Also, combination changes are muck more technical and prone to error than electronics. I have electronics.

TurboDiesel .... i maybe in the market for starting to look at one. My Winchester keypad I think just died... I just got off the phone with service, hopefully what they offered will work. If not I might try a locksmith... Even then, I'd like get a bit bigger one than I currently have.

What I thought was an excellent video on safes.

For me I wanted fire, liability and then security.
Dial for reliability. And size to fit what I had at the time.

I'm out of room and stuff is jammed in. Probably get another mid range safe.

If size and budget we're no issue I'd order a custom fort Knox.
For me a big thing with a fort knox is the available stainless liner to prevent cutting. Torch or blade have fun with that! If it's big enough to not be moved you have to cut it.

001.JPG I won this Winchester safe at a gun bash years ago. It has an electronic keypad. I cant remember how many it holds but I got 22 long rifles in it. If all the rifles were scoped I couldn't fit as many in there. Its a nice safe. I bought another one just like it a few years after I won this one. Its not the best safe on the market by far but I like them and they protect my guns. If someone tries to break into it god bless them getting past the dogs and if my house catches fire im running to the safes until I cant breathe or start catching on fire myself to unload them. I live so far in BFE by the time the FD gets here there wont be anything left if im not home.

Well I finally got my safe unlocked.... seemed to have a short in the battery connection wire...took me almost 5 hours to get all six digits through as long as my left hand could hold position... I'm going to order keys for the near future...
