My property tax bill came in the mail last week, so that made my decision on which safe to buy. It's been raining here like crazy and I don't want to tear my yard up with my tractor putting the safe in my walk out basement. I'll take some pics of the interior once I get it in the basement.
Friend of mine came over yesterday and helped me get the safe lifted up off of my tractor forks and moved into place. If the safe can hold 12 long rifles with scopes I’d be pretty surprised. I knew that going into it, so that’s okay. The safe does weigh more than some of the other safes I was looking at that were bigger. I think that’s a good thing. The boss supervising.
Looks similar to mine. If so, the door should lift off (no tools required) and two guys can easily move it when it is apart.
We flipped the red carpet ( in the pics ) over and put the safe on top of it and slid it into place. I'll have to remember the door trick next time. That's probably a little easier on the back.
BJ's had the safe on sale for $399 during Amazon Prime Day. I was looking to see if they had any good grocery deals and stumbled across the lower price. Went into my local club and they gave me the difference ( $50 ) without any questions asked. People have asked me why I'm a big fan of these types of stores, this is why. Yes, you "pay" to shop there but when it comes to customer service, they can't be beat.
diesel been hanging at 3.18.9 for the past 6 days at my Sams club. Woodmanns across the way a penny higher. At home some 45Miles north Enco at my freeway exit was at 3.19.9 on Monday. been a long time since i saw diesel less than standard grade ethanol,which was at least a dime higher at all three. That Bj's must be something like Sams club, Costco . Woodmanns
My Sun Welding Renegade RS-34 arrived today. Nothing fancy, just 600# of steel and fireproofing. I'm super happy with this. Made in USA by a bona fide family business. You could definitely spend less and accomplish your goals.but you could spend a whole lot more money, too. For me, this is a good balance between price and quality/protection.
