That's a former highwall coal pit, then a tire pit and now just a pond. This is at a good friend's family property/farm. I don't have anywhere that flat or open on my stuff. I had actually considered floating some reactive targets. I get lots of oddball ideas like that and we already blew up everything we could get our hands on including some loaned scrapped cars from a local yard...the good old days. A bit more reserved lately, but I do know how to party.

We don't host them anymore...the Shootfests. It grew too large...waiviers and whatnot. Decided to quit while ahead. We had a run from 2013 to 2018 with the last one seeing 130+ attendees. LOL We did actually have range 'officers' though. Local outfit that does firearm training volunteered. I was extremely anxious at the last two as I know the potential for an 'incident' was very high. Dozens of regular folks and some of their youngsters mostly unsupervised at the same place at the same time....with guns.

I can't really invite anyone there as it is not mine to do so. Can invite to my woods to shoot but I don't even shoot there much. I have a quasi master plan waiting to unfurl to give myself an all weather 100 yard range. Several things need to fall into place before it can happen. As of today I usually just set up a makeshift deal and jab a portable target somewhere in the ground. Looked at shooting across the crick valley but I'd need a tree monkey or to drop quite a few biggies to get a clear view. There are many times I am happy to have wooded lands, sometimes it'd be nice to have some pasture as well.

I wanted a single action only 9mm I sold my CZ75 sa 9mm I regret it they are no longer in production
I shot beretta 92fs and 96fs in 1995 in idpa
Didn't care for da/sa but very accurate IMG_20260327_154624017_HDR.jpg
I looked at all the 2011s and found these Beretta squalo 92xi they introduced these to compete with 2011s
92xi is 9211 and squalo is shark in Italian
These are 1200.00+ at my local shop but I found them on gundeals for 700.00 and beretta has a 100.00 rebate going on now
And those toni systems +4 mags and magwell are over 300.00 alone IMG_20260328_193654172.jpg IMG_20260328_172134413.jpg IMG_20260328_173357292.jpg
Extremely accurate at 20yds great trigger and the new vertec grip is far more comfortable than the old style.
It's more comfortable to me personally than most 2011s but much lighter with the aluminum frame.

I found these slim cases from pistols I just keep it hid if I ever need it
No kids around here to worry about.

    Tisas manufactures the Mac pistols
    IMG_20260402_005601043.jpg
I bought this tisas duty .45
About 5 years ago it was only 350.00 back then
I'm very impressed with tisas I've shot several this ones a very tightly fit pistol.
Actually I sold my early springfield loaded i'd bought in 1996 the tisas was much better made than that brazilian made pistol.
New Springfields are american made and excellent quality some of the best

I did a trigger job got it to 4lbs and put these nice g10 grips on it
My brother shoots this one the most

Everyone needs at least one lever action 44 mag! I know nothing about Heritage Manufacturing, but the price is almost 50% less than I gave for my Henry 44 mag.

Picked up an H12 X model with threaded barrel and crappy plastic stock. For what they wanted for a wood stock Henry I can buy a takeoff stock for the same money and still be ahead the threaded barrel.
