    I’ll be using my 284 Winchester in Michigan, then my newer 400 Legend for the Illinois deer hunt. They are mostly sighted in, I’ll do another check before the hunt. My usual ranges are 50-120 yards, nothing crazy.

    I used to 'sight' my 20 guage each year until I realized that it never 'moved' from where it was originally put. Exceptions for hard drops...but the scope is quality and so are the rings. 1-1/2" low and about 3/4" to the left is where they always land at 100 yards if the guy working the trigger does his part.

    Edit: Considering taking a .357 bolt gun this year. Have to resight if so as it's set for deadnutz with 158gr .38spl with suppressor, which is not rated for .357 pressures. Not at all comfortable throwing a pill at a whitetail only travelling ~900fps. Probably sufficient by placement but no kinetic slap.
