I'm doing individual from here on. Other goodies are under a Trust and all happened pre new rules. I'm hoping for less than a month turnaround for the AAC can.

This more for first time buyers or maybe it will help someone else out.

A bit about researching muffler purchases : I spent a lot of time reading about them on each company’s site, reading reviews, eyeballing them asking a few questions to folks that had them.

I DID NOT however send e-mails to certain manufacturers about caliber use or clearly ask the right questions. All the sites/companies provide a size/ammo spec. or so I thought.

I made an assumption & we all know what assumptions lead to ….

My assumption was that any 223/5.56 can would work for say 22-250, 204, 220 Swift.

Just a reference: Banish 223 lists out its a few of usable calibers.

    IMG_1251.jpeg

A couple other 5.56/223 manufacturers list these out as well.

So my assumption overrides my asking more questions :headbang:, actually downloading & reading an owners manual.

Last night I sat down & was reading thru the owners manual for my Gemtech Trek.

The last line was a bit of a shock & very disappointing … :hair: :headbang::headbang:

    IMG_1250.jpeg

    Lesson learned…

    More reading Dumbazzz ….

Man, that's no bueno and deserves a complaint to whatever site is showing those calibers. I just took this direct from Banish site...

One thing I picked up on pretty early was that pressure is usually the limiting factor on Silencers. Yeah, it's gotta have the right diameter holes but either the body of the suppressor must be physically thicker (or exotic) or longer in order to handle larger case volumes. I got an AAC that I'll shoot .38spl through all day but I won't put a 357 through it. Nearly double the case volume/pressure. My newest that I have not collected yet is for .30 caliber. It'll handle the big boys, but not sustained ( I don't need it to). Lower duty cycle because made of aluminum, but also lighter weight and less cost. Perfect for hunting or bench shooting with a bolt gun. (I hope lol)

This is kinda crummy but I have no idea of a painless remedy. I would for sure complain at least.

Just yesterday I became infatuated with a newer 22 silencer. It's called Little Bird. Very unique design. AB is manufacturer. Wanted to get another Spectre ii which I think the world of but Silencerco has changed the baffles from stainless to aluminum and that takes away 5.7mm use. They are .22lr only now and lighter. Zero first round pop from this design. Sad noises.

Edit: Note for others regarding 22 cans...get stainless baffles. Allows ultrasonic cleaning. Celaning is HUGE on 22 cans.

Colt Diamondback 4 inch 22LR. Been looking for one for quite some time in my price range. I don’t think it’s been shot. An estate sale buy. Widow couldn’t find the box but I don’t collect boxes anyway.

The Bianchi doesn't fit the larger 7 shot cylinder I was told via email. So...

Just got a B&T Rotex C and Rotex. B&T ownes the surefire muzzle breaks pattens. No wonder it seems like Surefire breaks are $25 more than they should, wonder what the royalty’s are. The 2 I bought have the Rotex/Surefire pattern they also make all kind of hubs. An interesting one I picked up is for A2 birdcage. Yes fit all the A2’s I have very securely, all different brands. I went with the Reduced Backpressure SRBS- its flow through. They are 30 cal. Full auto rated.

Currently have the compact on a pistol with 10.3 Colt Commando upper. Now I need to build a 7-9” 300 blackout pistol upper shooting subs.

    The mec-gar's are 1/2-3/4 longer than oem IMG_20250228_060431762~2.jpg IMG_20250228_060327750.jpg
The ETS glock mag loader works perfectly with the mec-gar's
Actually works better than with the polymer glock style mags.

I took my deer hunting rifle to the range the other day - Tikka T3x + factory Sako 140g Super Hammerheads. This thing has always LOVED these factory bullets from day 1. We tried to improve with all kinds of hand loads and could never beat box ammo. The target is a 0.8" group at 200 yds, ~0.4 MOA. The rifle picture is old. I'm shooting with a KGM suppressor instead of the break lately.

Much more quiet with the muffler versus the brake.

    That’s a very impressive group.
