Finally got my rear sight blade for my S&W .22 compact It flew off minutes after I first shot the pistol Like 7 year's ago I called a few times but they were unavailable for some reason. I've always shot without it very well But it's easier with it. They must've made some more It's getting loctited after zeroing in. Looked at my buddy's new pistol The military sig civilian version. Not my thing lol Spongy trigger blocky feel He said it's very accurate I'm sure it is. I'm sure it's a fine pistol Everyone is different it just doesn't suit me.
Yeah prices keep going up. Got the p09 for 450 and 10s for 550. The 75d is 600. I like cz’s but not $1,000 phantom like.
Shot the plate rack with my kimber .45 They were kimber of oregon In 96 when I bought it. It's an excellent shooter I only changed the mainspring to a nowlin match 3 1/2 pound spring. That's it still no issue's after 24 year's.
Hey I got one of those too, but mine still has the rear sight blade. I almost went home without the elevation screw though. The day I took it home I pulled it out of the box to give it a once over and thought I heard something hit the floor. So I'm checking it out and something about the rear sight didn't look right and I noticed the screw missing. AHA! I did hear something hit the floor! It took a minute to find it, but it was under the ledge of the glass cases safe and sound waiting for me. It will back out while shooting so I need to find a stiffer spring. S&W needs to spend more on QC than they do for all the red ink used for warnings that fill the "manual" that it comes with.
They simply need to add a "leg" to each side of the bottom of the rear sight blade. Mine flew off when I adjusted it Where it was printing right. That loosens the blade just enough for it to fly out Poor design Nice sight picture when it's all there though.
I looked at the sarlimaz clone's They seem well made and have good Reviews on YouTube I might try one of the compacts Eventually.
I was looking at 1911s today at the gun store These SDS duty .45s from tisas Look good I checked out 5 of them And they all had very good fit and finish. I bought one. At 10 yards slow fire I was impressed it hit poa poi It has a bit heavy 6lbs trigger But crisp very little creep. The only change I may make is a single side safety only. I need to reload some ammo The gunstore can't even get .45 or 9mm .40 is 24.00 for 50 Here's a les baer lol
I sold a bunch of saws to buy the sds No way I'd buy a high dollar gun 6 time's better than a sds unlikely lol Check out youtube reviews that's where I found them.
My fil has a LB, it is sweet. I haven't shot it much. The first Christmas that our little girl could talk, we had her tell her grandpa she wanted "his les baer" when he asked what she wanted for Christmas! But my witness elite match has a better trigger.
I bought a Canik TP9SF six(?) years ago, made in Turkey also. Zero regrets, fine shooter, and I have to be careful after shooting some of my others because the trigger is so much crisper and lighter it will surprise me when not quite ready.
I talked with a gunsmith and shooting range owner He's been very impressed with the turkish Trap shotguns and the cz75 and the 1911 and regent hi power clones His customers have a variety and they've All been problem free.
I'm really liking the sds .45 one of the competition shooter's Has a neat target stand I'm going to copy it. Expired diced potatoes are explosive When a 185gr .45 jhp going 1200fps Hits it.
Lined up a sporterised sks for a old fella Actually did very well at 100yds His remington 25/06 did excellent.
Tried out my friends xdm 10mm And taurus tracker .44 magnum. Both of them are deer vital accurate at 50yds
How was that xdm 10mm? We've been interested in getting a 10. Don't like the way the glock 20 feels, wonder if the grip on the xdm is any better?
