Platform is more important to me than cartridge is. Semi auto pistols, I'll take a 9mm, 357 Sig, 40 S&W, 10mm or 45 ACP as long as it's in a blaster I shoot good. I'm not much of a revolver guy. The only one I have is a Smith & Wesson M60 3", 5 shot 357 Mag. It actually shoots pretty good for how small it is. ETA; 10mm. I'd take a 10mm too. NYH1.
OK Gun guys. I have a 1873 Winchester in .32-20 that needs a little love. It works and shoots and looks pretty good for a rifle of that age and has never been refurbished. My question is about finding parts, particularly the catch and/or spring that slides the dust cover on top back when cycling the action. Done some internet surfing but nothing conclusive yet. Anyone have some guidance? Thanks
Quick trip to the rifle range to continue load development for my 280 Ackley Improved with 143 gr Hammer monolithic copper bullets. I think we have not one, but TWO winning loads. 1st one is 3095 fps and .224 MOA 3 shot group at 100 yd (square is 1" O.D.). The second one is 3131 fps and 0.189 MOA. Ignore elevation, scope is still zeroed for a heavier, slower bullet. Not bad for a hunting rifle off sandbags.
Anyone interested in some Talley mounts ? $30 a set plus shipping The first set came on a Browning x-bolt, marked as L’s, 1” tube sizing, missing one base mounting bolt the other 7 are included & has the torx wrench. All the ring bolts are there. I put on some H’s to accommodate the scope I had. The second set is for a Savage 111 : Savage pre-Accutrigger Scope Mounts w/ Flat Rear Receiver These are medium height, have all 4 base mounting bolts, the wrench & all the ring bolts are there.
I just bought a custom 1911. GARY REEDER CUSTOM GUNS. When I get it I'll post some pictures. For now I'll show the Blackhawk convertible in 45lc and 45acp
My Blackhawk, a P94 40cal, an ECS9 I bought for my wife, and a Star PD 45 for a truck gun. Been on a buying spree lately, gonna have to slow down.
New suppressor came home today! KGM R30. NFA/ATF shenanigans only took 6 calendar days / 4 working days. Woo Hoo! Looking forward to getting it out to the range this weekend or sooner if possible. It will be a massive upgrade from shooting with brakes.
