I guess I'm just not seeing why these are getting all the hype. ??? I get that there's the whole Browning mystique to it, but there's plenty of others that have this.
There are plenty to be had on GunBroker.com if you're willing to pay $300-$400 over list price. The cost and lack of good customer service from Springfield is more than enough to keep me away from purchasing one.
I understand most are buying then to resell I'm sure. I'm just want one as a shooter I've shot several different makes of the hi powers since the 80s from different makers Belgium, Argentinian, Canadian inglis and The Charles daly US made hi-powers I've always been accurate with them. This fn gp competition from the 80s was the most accurate A guy had one at the range one day And had a great trigger. I want the SA35 for the improved tolerances and the accuracy Guy's are getting from them.
I agree with you, I would like to purchase one also but I'll wait until the price is less than list. I would also like to see one come out in stainless.
There are a few online places that have them, and of course they are being price gouging A**HOLES $1199.00 for a pistol with a MSRP of $699.
No hurry I can wait until it's in the mid 500.00 range I saw them at a couple of online dealers For that price range Before the scalpers snagged most of them.
Wasn't a good year overall Some nice bucks were taken But not enough doe's to make a difference There's far too many getting hit on the road The population is out of hand here.
Stopped by my friends range He had a very nice Browning hi power He's going to do a trigger job for a customer This thing is virtually new It has a good for Browning hi power About 5lbs We ran the plate rack several times Great shooter.
Bought myself a Christmas bonus from From work pistol I'm liking these micro compacts Same capacity as the hi power lol
Having at least 4k rounds through My tx.22 The slide started dragging to closed Very easy to take down and clean Be careful of the striker block If you do one of these It's just behind the barrel It has a tiny spring.
I ordered a couple of Bushnell trs25 Red dots off eBay They were both fakes The real ones like the bottom pic have this battery cap with a spring in the middle. The fakes were actually well made so I had the seller pay me back They only cost me 20.00 Work great.
I'm a bit perturbed... Beretta has dragged their feet for 6 weeks now in sending me a free optic mount plate for my new 92X RDO. I have emailed repeatedly with zero response, I have called and they keep saying "next week", I even tried that faceplace page. The website shows the one I need in stock all along so I just don't understand what the deal is with them. Had I known, I would have just bought one and returned the one they (if ever) send me... Obviously there is something afoot and I just wish they would be upfront about it so I know what to expect and I could act on it accordingly.
That sucks I've never had to deal with Beretta's Customer service Doesn't sound to promising if I did have to.
They are saying that the phone system and internet/website problems are to blame, and I certainly hope that is the case. At this moment it feels like there is no customer service. and everywhere I turn people a P.O.'d. Whatever the case I came REALLY close to sending corporate a nastygram but I cooled off and didn't. I spent many years installing and servicing industrial equipment so I know how customers can be and didn't want to be one of THEM... lol Their website says the plates are in stock, and the last things I bought direct were shipped quickly enough so I ordered the plate I need and paid for it. If the free one ever shows up I'll either hang onto it as a backup or sell it on evilbay. It wasn't worth the effort I was putting into it being frustrated about. I'm planning on ordering a Vortex Venom tomorrow for it, so long story short crisis averted.
The above is why I still do a lot of business with Ruger. I called Ruger last week to order 3 pic/rail screws for my Mark IV Lite (22 cal). They sent them for free and I received the screws 4 days after the call.
Ruger has been known to be excellent with their customer service. That's one reason I typically buy Ruger guns
