When I first moved here I lived with the guy who is now my boss and his family in a house that had a homemade stove/insert. I don’t recall exactly if I was living there at the time or if it happened before I moved in there but the fire department had to show up for a chimney fire. Yep, burning pine from the local forest. Go get it, start burning it right away. I’d actually like to fill up one of my empty racks with pine. Been meaning to go check with the forest about their wood cutting policy. I think it’s $10 for a permit for three cords but nobody really polices the amount you get. Not sure what you’re allowed to cut or where. I need to check on this.
