I see potential for a mini GTG once that beast is horizontal.

A few members swarming over logs will have a pile of rounds in no time.

if you have an area that you just want as yard it is good. No weeds, few bugs. The downfall it looks like dead grass from fall till spring if you are in the north. The other downfall is if you want to plant anything like a garden or fruit trees it is impossible to get rid of. It makes a woven grid of horizontal roots and the grass actually shoots up out of the shallow roots.

you plant it as plugs every square foot and it just takes over smothering out everything else

Will we get an answer on price before mid may? If he’s like some of the tree guys I know it may be mid November before he gets to it.

I’ve got the price now and would prefer to reveal that with the cordage.

I can't hold a candle to most of you guys, but Central MA is just close enough that I'd be more than happy to get in the way and lend my 80% back to push around some rounds.

I’m guessing you’ll get 5 face cord. If he’s just taking it down, leaving everything there, and he’s a friend, then my guess is he’s doing it for $1250. Good choice to take it down. Any plans to replace it?

My novice thought, 2.5 cord, closer to 3 if you keep everything down to 2".
Maybe a grand to drop it.

I am going with a little over 2 cord. Are they hand climbing or using a bucket truck? I guess $1350.
