    I did not mean that it was any less of a skilled take down or not a risky operation.

    He clearly knows his stuff. Lineing up the notch. Plunge cutting wedges leaving the back piece till ready to drop it.

    The guy knows how to cut a tree and it shows

    Edit: went back and see what your talking about now???? Deleted some of this post but left others.

    I was clarifying that I was not trying to downplay SO's skill or that it is not a risky cut but simply stating that a skilled feller and a guide rope mean way less chance that the tree sits down on the cut and goes the wrong way.
