I was cutting the lawn last week with a push mower and walked over the nest and one got me on the back of the ankle. I went running and the mower rolled into the woods but I wasn't waiting till night fall, I grabbed a can of brake cleaner and sprayed them while they were swarming ! Of course, I ended up with some collateral damage. The lawn died where the brake cleaner landed. I guess I will try the soap next time. :)

While working in the area, I noticed bees coming/going under an empty woodrack. K broke out bee spray and let them have it from 27ft away. A few days later, I noticed they were back. Out came the spray again. You guessed it, back they came, but fewer. I managed to tip the rack a bit and noticed a hole in the ground. Filled it up with bee spray.

Yesterday, I noticed a couple of bees in the area. I poured in a couple glugs of gas and let it be.

    This morning, no bees... but....

Something was happy to dig out the comb. No more bees!

    Glad they're gone...
I sprayed a red wasp nest in a deer ground stand late yesterday, saw it when we moved the stand to a new area. Brake parts cleaner does a good job.
