I remember many moons ago (back in the 50's) when there were a few places you could bowl using balls like that but the pins were the normal shape except a lot smaller. It is a bit harder throwing with accuracy with those little balls. Another reason that big balls are worth much.
Thanks Woodporn, I could not bring to mind what it used to be called but that is correct; duck pin bowling.
btw, wondering if anyone has redheads. We used to have an alley that used them. One pin was colored red on top and if that happened to come up as the head pin and you got a strike, you won a free game. They used to have that once per month on Saturdays and I remember when a buddy and me went there often and could bowl for hours and only cost a dollar or so. We had a ball, no pun intended.
I was hoping that she liked it! Just trying to get the ornery one in a good mood for the GTG so it'll be better for all my FHC brothers going there!
That's good looking out, YD... For sure, one thing I have gathered about Backwoods Savage & "The Ornery One" is that at a GTG, she's anything but Ornery
Dave, I know a very easy way you could meet these people! Just show up on April 22! We'd be very happy to finally meet you and perhaps on your way you could make a stop near Atlanta and drag papadave along with you.
