    Finally got my delinquent Oregon stand from amazon. Threw everything together in the dark, and setup with a diamond wheel. Excited to clean up some chains this weekend!!!     Here's a tip that work well.

    Tie a shoe lace so the head doesn't have to move so much on each cutter. See on the Oregon 511AX DSCF0013.JPG

    I like that idea. Think I’ll do that or something similar. I have on occasion misjudged how high the handle is and hit the wheel with my hand. It won’t kill you but it’ll sure wake you up :)

    I grind indoors with a diamond blade. I put a welders magnet behind the wheel to catch the metal dust. Works good. It can magnetize the base after awhile. Doesn’t seem to be an issue tho.

    If you look close you will see a welder's magnet on the Oregon and rare earth magnets on the Silvey 510.
