There are quite a few, No issues now, But come April all bets are off...........

At least round these parts. Most consider pellets as seasonal items and they end their season way before we do!

I burned quite a few Greenway pellets.... I liked them a lot, and those weren't even the 100% oak version. Any pellets I burned that were 100% Oak, I loved......even some made by Pennington.
If you can get them for a decent $$, I'd jump on them.......after a 2-3 bag test burn, of course. Price???

We found them at a decent price $4.19 a bag which in our area isn’t terrible...

Thanks guys! I plan on buying more of them if they burn well.

We haven’t built a stash this year because the new furnace is insanely efficient and the wood stove has always been the main workhorse. Pellets have now become extra heat for when the wife is cold. Her thyroid problems are reall the only reason we keep using pellets.

I hope to build a crib this year now that I have finished the garage furnace install so we can store 25 bags in an upright stack. I’d like to finish that ASAP so we can fill it up at the beginning of winter each year....

Plans plans either way I’m about to dump greenways in the stove!

Menards has magic spark at a good price around Christmas so if we get the shelf done MAYBE JUST MAYBE I can fill it up with my favorite burners!!!

That doesn’t mean there not needed they are very much needed..  When her thyroid acts up both stoves get fires up to the point I’m sweating rivers but she’s finally warm and that’s what matters....

I burned a few bags of Greenways two years ago; burn very hot, lots of heat. The ash is black and dirties up the glass fairly quick but as said, the heat is exceptional.

Well holy dust. They are burning good but man alive are they dusty bags.:(

I’ll get through these two bags and see how clean the stove is. We emptied ash and vacuum the stove out before I dumped them in. Curiosity has the better of me.

To me that usually means low moisture content. I have a basement stove so no issues for me. But best to pour em in the hopper when the stove is idle. Otherwise the convection blower will have it everywhere...........

Some carefully scoop them in also to reduce dust spreading about the shack.

The only place I see those around here is at Meijer. My local store had them for $5.29/bag. I have a few bags in the barn from spring clearance a couple years back. I liked them, and $4.19 is a decent price.

My furnace is on the same diet it’s always on - Pro Pellets for $3.79/bag. Menards around here had AWF for a couple weeks, then switched back to Michigan Plague (AKA Michigan Pellet Fuel out of Holland).

I’m thinking pretty seriously about loading up on propellet / Magic spark in the garage I am pretty sure I have found space for them today....

My stove does not like the greenways at all:confused: they burn super hot but one bag created so much ash on medium we had to shut down and clean it. I’ve only had one other pellet that ashy and it was the Michigan plague.

I’m hoping that next weekend I can make it to Menards and buy 15 or 20 bags of something decent on sale.
