Softwood and random length and a somewhat sticky feel to them. I was surprised on the heat from them. The hardwood version as the same heat if you get your hands on them. Rona, Reno-Depot has them as their staple pellets among other premium pellets. For the price you get them, it's a keeper.

Huh? That doesnt sound good. have you done a firebox cleaning yet? I would be curious to see of that sticky translates to residue.

Subsailor should chime in on that one. My version of stickiness might differ from others. My hopper was lemon polished just recently but only after the Granulco trial.

I'm not seeing any issue with them feeding. In fact I ran the stove empty today. Caught it just as the last mouthful was dropping into the auger tube. No bridging or anything like that.

Ivanhoe, What are you seeing for ash in yours?

I'm not seeing anything like that Geno. But then again I haven't cleaned the stove in 2 weeks, but nothing is out of whack that I can see. Nothing building up on the glass.

I'm not observing the ash accumulation, just the temps out the ductwork!

$199 makes it easy. If I paid $250 not so much.
